BCM is a people-centred political movement dedicated to restoring dignity, promoting ethical leadership, strengthening communities, and advancing responsible governance throughout South Africa, guided by our Constitution and the Eight Cornerstones.
Membership is voluntary and open to all South Africans aged 16 and older who subscribe to the mission of the BCM.
Membership is obtained through a formal application process and completing a membership form. BCM reserves the right to approve or decline membership applications.
No. Dual membership in other political organizations is strictly prohibited.
Membership fees are determined from time to time by the National Council. Currently the membership fee is R20.00 per year, with options for 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years, payable to the bank account indicated on the application form.
Members have the right to elect and be elected to any office or committee of BCM, to raise constructive criticism at meetings, to attend meetings that decide on their activities, to submit questions or petitions to any level of leadership, and to freely take part in discussions on BCM's work and policies.
The Eight Cornerstones are the constitutional foundation of all BCM policy: Restore Belief and Faith in God Almighty, Reclaim Human Dignity, Governance and Traditional Leadership, Land and Natural Resource Development, Building a Functional Economy, Human Resource Development and Technological Advancement, Community Renewal and Infrastructure Development, and Restoring Law and Order.
Yes. BCM is organised through a National Convention, National Leadership Collective, Provincial Leadership Collective, Regional Leadership Collective, Constituency Leadership Collective, and Branch Leadership Collective, ensuring the movement stays connected to communities at every level.
Yes. BCM's structures include dedicated Chaplains, Councils of the Elderly, and Representatives of the Royal Houses of South Africa and of the Council of Traditional and Religious Leaders at every level, from National to Branch.
Yes. BCM permits affiliation from like-minded political, community, religious, traditional, and civic organisations. The National Leadership Collective develops the framework and guidelines for such affiliations.
You can volunteer, attend local branch meetings, join the Youth Leadership Collective, join the Women's Leadership Collective, join the Men's Forum, or support community programmes through your local branch.
BCM has active leadership structures in North West, Gauteng, Free State, Mpumalanga, and Northern Cape, growing through provincial, regional, constituency, and branch structures.
